Next, our designers brought the strategy to life with a bold, heartfelt lightbox that appears just before donors confirm their gift. Featuring a strong image and message — “Please consider a monthly gift” — the design feels like a natural part of the giving journey, not a disruption. It reminds donors that becoming a monthly supporter helps even more children every single month.
Smart, Seamless Development
Behind the scenes, our developers built and launched the lightbox in Luminate Online, ensuring everything ran smoothly across devices and browsers. Donors can easily switch from a one-time gift to a monthly gift with just one click — no extra steps, no confusion.
Tracking and Optimization
The new upsell feature includes a custom donation data element that tracks when donors interact with the lightbox and whether they choose to upgrade to a monthly gift. This added layer of data gives the Foundation valuable insight into donor behavior and provides a strong foundation for future testing and optimization.
