How Sharp HealthCare Foundation Runs Three Foundations From One Engaging Networks Account
Sharp HealthCare Foundation, Grossmont Hospital Foundation and Coronado Hospital Foundation all share one Engaging Networks account. Each foundation needed to run its own Donation Forms and emails on its own, with its own brand. The whole setup also had to stay easy to manage, both for the Sharp team and for us.
Project Highlights
3
FOUNDATIONS, ONE ACCOUNT
Sharp HealthCare, Grossmont and Coronado each run their own giving from a single account.
1
SHARED BASE TEMPLATE
One code base powers every donation form, so a fix made once reaches all three.
2
BLOCK LIBRARIES
A shared library for common parts and a per-foundation library for brand pieces.

Our Solution
One base template, not three
We weighed three separate templates against one shared base template. We chose the shared base, so every fix is made and tested once and the three foundations never drift apart over time.
Shared blocks for common parts, brand blocks for the rest
Payment and personal info blocks are shared by all three foundations. Each foundation then has its own blocks for the pieces that carry its look and identity.
A backend set up per form
Each form has its own designations and auto-responders. The visual builder with advanced rows lets the team build and update pages without touching code.
A component library that sorts itself
Shared items follow a simple naming pattern, like Template > Footer – Copyright. Foundation items add the foundation name last, like Template > Footer Details > Grossmont, so every version of an item sits together in the list.
Email templates built from the same parts
Banners, image and text sections, and calls to action are shared. The header logo and footer belong to each foundation, along with its own sender, reply-to and email settings. Same skeleton, different head and feet.
The Results
We were able to help Sharp HealthCare Foundation run three foundations independently by building one shared Engaging Networks setup with a separate brand layer for each.
Maintenance is now a one-step job. A fix to the base template or a shared block shows up on all three foundations at once, with no copying code between sites. New forms and emails start from a strong base, so the team builds faster and with fewer mistakes.
The setup has held up under real pressure. It supported a Doctors’ Day campaign with 87 email sends across the three brands, and the same model now runs a client with 13 affiliates and stays clean and organized.
FAQ
Yes. Each foundation keeps its own forms, designations, auto-responders and email settings, while the code underneath is shared.
We don’t recommend it. Separate templates mean separate code bases, so every fix gets done and tested several times and the sites slowly drift apart. One base template with foundation-specific blocks avoids that.
Pick a naming pattern before you build and stick to it. We name items by location in EN, then the item, then the foundation, so every version of the same item sorts together.
It does. We have used the same setup for a client with 13 affiliates, and it is still clean and easy to manage.
