When someone decides to make a gift, the last thing you want is a clunky donation form standing in their way. At Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, the team recognized that their existing forms were slowing donors down and sometimes even causing them to miss important giving options. They set out to create a smoother, more intuitive experience—one that would guide supporters to the right donation type and make the process feel effortless.
The goal was straightforward: help donors quickly find the right way to give—whether one-time, monthly, in memory, or in honour—while presenting a cleaner, shorter experience. But the existing forms made this challenging. Donors who wanted to become monthly supporters had to hunt for a separate monthly giving link tucked away in the header. Memorial and tribute options were easy to miss, buried deep within the form rather than standing out as meaningful ways to give. Monthly giving also lacked the visual prominence needed to encourage recurring support.
Our Solution
Working within Blackbaud Luminate Online, we developed a suite of streamlined, mobile-friendly forms tailored to each gift type. The monthly form featured a clear callout with “/month” displayed on each amount and a donate button that explicitly referenced recurring gifts. The In Memory form included thoughtful imagery and a “Dedicate Your Gift” section to guide donors through honouring a loved one. The In Honour and Celebration forms used celebratory visuals and added dedicated buttons—such as “Celebrate” and “Honor a Caregiver”—to match the occasion. A primary one-time form served as the main entry point for general giving, while appeal-specific forms were designed without designations or tribute options to support targeted campaigns. Across all forms, visible security badges and trust language reinforced donor confidence.

A seamless, accessible, and mobile-friendly giving experience. Donors can now find the donation type that fits their intent in just a few clicks, monthly giving is clearly highlighted and encouraged, and the entire journey feels shorter, more welcoming, and far more intuitive.
