University of Rochester
TeamRaiser Updates
The University of Rochester wanted a Blackbaud TeamRaiser® event site that could support their annual fundraising events with a modern, flexible design. Their goal was to streamline administration by avoiding broken code and reducing troubleshooting, while also offering a refreshed look and feel each year.
Project Highlights

Our Solution:
Building a Flexible Template
We designed a Blackbaud TeamRaiser® template that allowed the University of Rochester to easily add or remove elements as needed. This created a foundation that could evolve year after year without requiring significant redevelopment.
Modernizing the Event Experience
Our team refreshed the design to provide a clean, modern style. This not only gave participants a visually appealing experience but also reflected the university’s brand identity in a professional and engaging way.
Simplifying Administration
To reduce technical hurdles, we implemented a strong, reliable code base. This minimized the risk of bugs and broken code, ensuring the admin team could focus on event management instead of troubleshooting.
Enhancing Engagement with Custom Features
We introduced a custom leaderboard using divisions. This feature highlighted top performers and encouraged friendly competition. Importantly, it could be replicated year after year, saving the team time and effort.

Before & After

The Result:
The University of Rochester’s events now run on a reliable and modern Blackbaud TeamRaiser® platform that can be quickly refreshed each year. Their admin team successfully uses the template for multiple events, customizing branding and imagery for each. The addition of the leaderboard created new opportunities for donor and participant engagement, while the flexible design simplified long-term event management.

- Through its August stewardship campaign, Coast Guard Foundation wanted to cultivate and increase engagement with Guardians Circle donors by strengthening relationships with donors who had already shared their phone numbers and encouraging those who had not, to opt in—ultimately expanding its mobile audience.
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation wanted to increase the number of recurring donors through their online giving form. The goal was to encourage one-time donors to consider joining their community of monthly supporters by introducing a frictionless and engaging upsell experience directly within the donation process.
