Food Bank of Central Louisiana
Fundraise Up Implementation
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana set out to elevate its donor experience and improve internal fundraising operations. To achieve this goal, they decided to move from DonorPerfect to Fundraise Up, seeking a more intuitive platform for staff and a more engaging, customizable giving experience for donors.

Our Solution:
Hands-Off Implementation, Expertly Handled
From start to finish, we led the Fundraise Up implementation for the Food Bank of Central Louisiana—executing every step with best practices in mind. Our team handled the setup seamlessly, coordinating with their internal data team to ensure donation data flowed cleanly into their CRM. With our guidance and technical know-how, the Food Bank team could stay focused on their mission, knowing their platform migration was in good hands.
Creating a Smarter, More Engaging Donation Experience
We customized the new donation forms to reflect the Food Bank of Central Louisiana’s mission, using compelling messaging and imagery to connect with supporters. To take it a step further, we activated Fundraise Up’s AI-powered features—personalized suggested gift amounts and the monthly gift upsell—to create a smarter giving experience. These dynamic tools helped guide donors toward higher-impact contributions while making the process seamless and intuitive.
Shifting from Cans to Clicks with a Virtual Food Drive
To move supporters away from traditional canned food drives and toward more impactful giving, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana wanted to promote virtual food drives through peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising. We created a dedicated P2P page and embedded a user-friendly sign-up form directly on their website, making it easy for participants to launch their own fundraisers and rally their networks for greater reach and results.
Maximizing Campaign Insights with Custom Fields and URL Strategies
As part of our ongoing management of the Food Bank of Central Louisiana’s digital annual giving program, we take full advantage of Fundraise Up’s flexible features to power smarter campaigns. We use custom fields to track audience responses and capture key data points across initiatives. On top of that, we leverage URL parameters to personalize the giving experience—like pre-setting donation amounts for targeted appeals—ensuring each campaign feels intentional and tailored.

"As a development director with little to no professional experience in digital fundraising and marketing, our partnership with Doing Good Digital was just what our food bank needed. After attending Feeding America’s Digital Strategy Institute in 2023, we learned that we didn’t need to know how to do everything ourselves but could partner with an experienced agency. That’s exactly what we found with Doing Good Digital. They provide the expertise and tools we need to enhance our digital acquisition, retention, and engagement programs."

- The Coast Guard Foundation wanted to close out the year by helping supporters clearly see the real-world impact of their generosity—beyond a single donation or campaign. Their goal was to launch MyImpact, a personalized experience that connected donor giving to tangible outcomes like scholarships, rescues, and family support, while setting the stage for stronger engagement in 2026 and beyond.
- Richstone Family Center depends on volunteers to support many of its programs, but their screening process involved a lot of manual work. Staff had to read through every application, figure out where someone might be a good fit, note any concerns, and then follow up to schedule interviews. It was effective, but time-consuming for Richstone staff, and it slowed down how quickly new volunteers could get involved.
- Through its August stewardship campaign, Coast Guard Foundation wanted to cultivate and increase engagement with Guardians Circle donors by strengthening relationships with donors who had already shared their phone numbers and encouraging those who had not, to opt in—ultimately expanding its mobile audience.
